Write down the address of your accommodation
Print out your accommodation name, address and phone number before you pack! This has saved me many a time when I’ve run down my phone or tablet battery during the flight. Having a printed hard copy of your accommodation name, address, and directions to hand to your taxi driver avoids confusion and most important those additional fees. Once you arrive, grab one of the hotel’s business cards, so you can show it to locals to ask for help and directions (also great for taxi trip cost enquiries).
